discover mobility and sustainability with all senses - that allows the BMW Junior program children and adolescents in the BMW Welt and the BMW Museum. The jointly developed with educators interactive learning concepts in the Junior Campus convey everything worth knowing about the issues of sustainability, globality, safety, environmental, automotive engineering and design 5- to 18-year-olds. Junior Campus

"Mobility and Sustainability with all your senses to discover" is the concept of the Junior Campus, which was created in collaboration with renowned educators and researchers. A unique place, promoted at the same time, imagination and curiosity and technical knowledge are taught. Your journey of discovery leads the young visitors through three areas of experience, provide the mobility and sustainability of multi-sensual way. THE WORLD OF MOBILITY. WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS IN BMW JUNIOR CAMPUS.

In various workshops and mobility tour children and adolescents 5-13 years of discovering active, with joy and all your senses the world of mobility. The specially designed for young visitors Junior Campus offers a very special setting, are a unique experience in the school trips, birthdays and other events beyond.

The focus of this 2.5 hour workshop learning about different vehicles and vehicle parts, discovering the mobility and the first playful approach to the subject is recycled. After about an hour the children take a break of about 10 to 15 minutes and have the opportunity, your own brought snacks to eat.

After that, the proud young engineers must take their prototypes course home.

HANDS-ON. MOBILITY TOUR MINI. AGE: 5 TO 6 YEARS.

A BMW with eyes, nose and mouth? Have that car "faces", children learn between five and six years in an exciting and creative tour of the BMW Welt. Dressed in blue mechanic jackets they will "TÜVtlern" and examine the team with magnifying glass and flashlight the look of the cars and the different materials which are installed in the vehicle. Touch and feel are paramount: the children climb into the car and allowed to sit on the bikes. They also learn important on road safety.

TÜVtler SPIRIT IN DEMAND. MOBILITY TOUR MEDIUM. AGE: 7 to 9 years.

Children from seven to nine years, the BMW world with the "TÜVtler tour" experience in an interactive way. Current issues such as raw materials use and recycling are researched and scrutinized.

Based on individual parts of the car production to get to know the young engineers various materials and resources: For what is a tire? Why is an expensive metal copper? These issues are resolved within the team and listed answers on a separate checklist. Learned will be implemented immediately on the tour of the BMW Welt: Installed as auto mechanics with tools for research and testing are cars and motorcycles from the point of recycling, speed and safety tested. All engineers are allowed to put into selected cars and on motorcycles.

INTERACTIVE FAHRZEUGBAU. WORKSHOP "DESIGNING MOBILITY". Age: 7 to 13 years old.

In the Junior Campus Laboratory, the young researchers can first make their knowledge on mobility, sustainability and global nature in an exciting quiz to the test area and thereafter to further their education at ten interactive stations. According to the theory and the exciting experiments it goes into the Junior Campus Workshop. Here, the participants build each three of their own vehicle. The teams travel through five stations and collect important information and materials they need to vehicle equipment and construction. You can choose between different engines and designs, which must be appropriately selected to vehicle types. Finally, the car is built together on the workbench. If all requirements are met and the vehicle passes the test on the test track and drives, each team member gets awarded a diploma.

FOCUS ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION. WORKSHOP "DESIGNING SUSTAINABILITY". Age: 10 to 13 years.

What does sustainability mean? In the Junior Campus Laboratory children and young people acquire ten interactive stations knowledge on various topics such as sustainable materials, bionics or vehicle technology. In the Junior Campus workshop the children and young people can then apply their new knowledge in practice and get creative by designing their own car. divided into teams of three, all children receive an order, resulting from the specific requirements that are placed on the vehicle. The young engineers then build families - or city vehicles that are powered with a solar engine.

In the construction not only of lightweight thought that counts, and the material consumption is to be reduced in order to make the vehicle more environmentally friendly as possible. Have the young automobile manufacturer at the end meets all the requirements of the job and the vehicle is the test on the test track, the car is equipped with an environmental sticker and then recycled. All young engineers receive a diploma for their successful participation.

YOUNG ENGINEERS RESEARCH. DISCOVERY PROGRAM "RESEARCH WORKSHOP" FOR FAMILY OR SINGLE VISITORS:. AGE: 7 TO 99 YEARS.

In about 60 minutes children and young people experiment with or without their parents under pedagogical guidance. In the Junior Campus Lab proper research is needed. Ten exhibits illustrate, among other things, how a transmission works or what materials are installed in the car. Short film sequences deepen the knowledge on the topics of mobility, sustainability and global nature. In exciting team quiz, participants can test their knowledge in subject areas such as energy, environment, technology and transport to the test.

MOBILITY OF THE FUTURE. MOBILITY TOUR MAXI. Age: 10 to 13 years.

As the Car of the Future? Young people between ten and thirteen years at a "TÜVtler tour" through the BMW world the opportunity to deal with future issues. What raw materials are important in the future, what resources last? Questions about alternative energy and sustainability are raised and discussed in the group. The BMW Welt is explored during the tour in teams. To all young people are equipped with a task checklist and tools. In addition, all participants can look at the cars and motorcycles of the BMW Welt exactly. Touch, boarding and seating is allowed.
